DNS Setup Guide for SomayaSupport

How to Give DNS Access for Your Support Website

Setting Up Your Domain with SomayaSupport

To connect your domain with SomayaSupport, we need temporary access to manage your DNS records. This will allow us to set up your support website on support.yourdomain.com.

Step 1: Log in to Your Domain Provider

  • Go to your domain registrar’s website (e.g., GoDaddy, Namecheap, or your current provider).
  • Sign in using your account credentials.

Step 2: Locate DNS Settings

  • In your dashboard, look for DNS Management, Zone Editor, or Manage DNS.
  • This is where you can add or edit your domain’s DNS records.

Step 3: Add an A Record

  • Create a new record:
  • Type: A Record
  • Host / Name: support
  • Points to / Value: [We will provide you with our server IP]
  • TTL: Default (usually 1 hour)

Step 4: (Optional) Add a CNAME Record

  • If required, we may ask you to add a CNAME for verification.
  • Type: CNAME
  • Host / Name: www.support
  • Points to / Value: support.yourdomain.com

Step 5: Share DNS Access (Alternative Method)

If you prefer, you can share temporary DNS access instead of editing records yourself:

  • Go to your registrar’s Delegates / Users / Access section.
  • Add our admin email: info@somaya.support.
  • Grant permission: DNS Management only.

Step 6: Confirmation

Once DNS records are updated, please inform our team. It may take up to 2–24 hours for the changes to propagate globally.

We are here to assist you throughout the setup process to ensure your support website is launched successfully!
